Cider Tasting Notes

Appledram Sweet Cider

ABV: 6.8%
Colour: Pale Cadmium
Nose: Unmistakably zesty-apple West Country style with hints of honeysuckle
Palate: On the dry side of sweet at the beginning with mid-apple flavour, satisfying finish with slightly glycerinate mouth-feel .

Appledram Medium Cider

ABV: 6.8%
Colour: Pale Cadmium
Nose: West Country zesty-apple with grassy overtones
Palate: Medium dryness. Big apple bang intensifying quickly to a mid-length zippy finish. Good body, very Satisfying!

Appledram Dry Cider

ABV: 6.8%
Colour: Pale Cadmium
Nose: Very forward apple notes with gooseberry and nettles following.
Palate: Very dry at the beginning and end. The middle is where the apples and sharp gooseberry comes through with a fleeting grassiness before the dry zip re-appears. Mid to full body.

Appledram ‘Original’ Sussex Cider

A mellow cider made from Cox, Bramley and Egremont Russet varieties of eating and culinary apples.

Appledram Sweet Cider

ABV: 6.8%
Colour: Summer Straw
Nose: Well balanced from 3 apple varieties, a combination of apple, pear and macadamia nuts comes first fading to cider ice-lollies
Palate: Opens up with fruit salad turning quickly to sweet apple with Bramley following on; ends with semi-sweet fruits (apples & pears)

Appledram Medium Cider

ABV: 6.8%
Colour: Summer Straw
Nose: The medium has more pronounced apple on the nose with a trace of nuts and pears
Palate: More mellow than its Scrumpy counterpart, the medium quickly moves through fruit to a lemon-zesty explosion towards the back of the mouth finishing with a cold green tea aftertaste

Appledram Dry Cider

ABV: 6.8%
Colour: Summer Straw
Nose: The dryness is detectable even on the nose! The faintest hint of spice (Cinnamon) is followed by the Appledram ‘Original’ key note of eating apples and nuts ending with a wild flora note
Palate: The dry start is quite sophisticated without the intense sharpness often associated with a Scrumpy style cider. Moving quickly from dry to almost wine-like fruitiness then relaxing into the nutty floral finish
